how gay would it be...
i just got my cobalt (an LT, go ahead make the jokes, lol) about a month ago and am saving up for some black rims for it...in the mean time, how gay would it be if i painted the hubs black?

but on the other hand if you did a really good job i guess they MIGHT look decent..
what rims are you saving up for? i have an lt also, and i have 18" motegi racing sx5 rims and 215/40/ZR18 BFG KDW 2's wrapping them

i dont think it would matter, id do it if i wanted a general idea of what it would look like. as long as there not hot pink (no offense) or lime green. i wouldnt think it was gay or lame

no wacky colors, lol, my car is black and i'm going to go for the black on black look...i've seen plenty of pics of other cobalts with black on black and i know it looks nice...just wondering what other ppls opinions were on the idea.

Black on Black is way hot.....do you have wheels or steelies??? If you have the GM wheels i think they are really nice....get them powdercoated....and lower it until you can get your wheels...lower on ss/sc springs

If your thinking about getting new wheels, do it......Whats the worst, itll look like **** (More so than regular hubs) and you'll replace them with new wheels? Here is an Idea Paint the Wheel behind the hub red, then paint the hubcaps Black....it'll be like Ghetto calipers painted.....

If you do it right like I did (and you don't have the steelies with the holes in em) people will think they are actually rims and not POS plastic hub caps!
I rolled on those for a while and people always said, NICE RIMS! (if they only knew
)Here's a finished pic of one of em. (excuse the messy bow tie, I fixed later on)

they actually don't turn out as bad as everyone is making it sound. i was parked at my usual starbucks one days, and a black ls coupe just like mine parked in the spot next to me. it had what i thought(at the time) black rims. it was only when i went to get my phone out of my car that i could tell they were just painted hubcaps b/c there was a scuff mark on them and i could see the original coloro underneath lol. had me fooled though.
