hub centric rings?

hub centric rings?

do our cars require hub centric rings for aftermarket rims or winter rims? im planning on getting winter rims with in a week or two and alloys in the summer and got to wondering if i need to buy rings to install the rims

it depends on what the size of the hub is....not sure if thats the correct term for that part.

so your saying if the hub and the hole for the rim are differnt ill need them. do they make that big of a differnce? can i get away with out them for the winter rims?

how long you been running with out them?

yea, it can make that big of a difference. If the wheel isn't centered, you'll have a bad vibration. A lot of people get away with not running them though.

Honestly it depends on the wheels whether you'll need the hub centric rings. If you don't put them in you MAY notice some vibration. I would recommend them since they are typically very cheap and if you contact the manufacturer of the rim and tell them what kinda car you have and the rim you have they should be able to send you out the exact ones you need. If you're buying brand new rims they SHOULD include them. If you're geting vibrations because of this it could cause premature wear to your suspension parts. For the 10 or 15 bucks that they cost I would buy them if I was you...

You will need them to properly center the wheel with the hub. Period.

If you don't mind driving your car with all the wheels rotating off center of the hub, do go ahead.
