I'm getting a free wheel set..

So, I am getting a new wheel set for my car, thanks to my mom's friend.

She is friends with a guy who owns a tire and rim warehouse in Chicago.

I can get almost any wheel set I want, for free.

I was wondering, what is the biggest rim size I can go on my 2008 LS (without looking tacky), with an Eibach Sportline Kit (2.0" drop in the front and 2.5" drop in the back).

Also, if anyone could suggest some nice rims, I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Get 18's. Anything else will be ugly and kill the power of the car. Best option for performance would be lightweight 17's

Okay cool, I've been told that 18 fits good with the Sportline Kit.

I would like a wider rim as well.

What is the max you can go without rubbing on this drop?

I haven't a clue.

I have no clue.

I'm still learning about tire sizes.

That stuff confuses me a lot.

What is the normal for a 17x7.5?

225 is the widest tire you can run. Or at least that's what I've been told.

Yes, I would like a bit of a wider tire, low profile tire.

Where is a good website for rims and tires so I can get the product number and have them ordered.

Ask him for a set of 18x8 Dymag carbon magnesium wheels, and see what he thinks...

Just do it!

Some of the rims on tirerack.com show a picture of a 5 lug rim, but the description says 4-100..

Do they just use the 5 lug picture for the hell of it, because I picked Cobalt LS and that is definitely 4 lug.

Go 19"s. I had some 18"s on my SS for awhile and they just didn't do it for me. I quickly replaced them with the 19"s that are currently on my car....that was well over a year ago, and I still love them like the day I got them. Easily one of the best decisions I made for my car.

They're 19"x8"s, and I run a 225/35/19 tire.......lowered on Eibach Sportlines, and no rubbing issues. When I carpool and cram 5 people in my car, sometimes the rear bottoms out on large bumps, but thats to be expected with 3 people in the back

I'm either going 17"s or 18"s.

19" is just too big for me.

I have seen your car, though, and it is seriously beautiful!

I think I want my tire size 235/40/17 or 18

I think it will look amazing.

Supposedly 35 is just a really small profile and most of my friends are telling me to get at least 40.
