Just put on Toyo Proxes T1-R tires

Just replaced the stock Pirellis @ 30k miles with Toyo Proxes T1-R tires from Les Schwab. They were damn expensive but oh well. I had looked at a brand called Khumo from Discount Tire but read some pretty bad reviews on them. Anyway, just wanted to post some pics of what the tires look on the stock rims cause I didn't see any on here yet. I'm sure others have these tires so any feedback on wear, etc would be nice.

The tires are wet because I just washed the car. Maybe I should resort to wax though. The car looks great but when I take a picture with a flash all the imperfections show up clear as day.

Honestly, I've been trying to baby them so far. I should take them for some good cornering while the tread is still good though. I want these to last longer than the stock tires because I don't want to spend $950 every 30K miles...

The road noise is a huge improvement over my worn ass Pirellis though. This is probably mostly due to how worn down the old tires had gotten though. When I first left with the tires on I was amazed at how much quieter inside the car it was.

I drove the crap out of the original tires for the first couple of months, until I got a warning from a state trooper. After that, it was just normal driving with slightly aggressive cornering. It's still nice to be able to ditch regular cars in the corners.

I've got em on my Kyowa KR 228s...235/40/18s...they have pretty good grip...cant get em to roll smoke going into second like the pirellis. tires have good grip and less road noise. No rub at all.

Nice, I love Toyo's tires, and Les Schwab. I put a lot of miles on mine I had on my civic back in the day. They wore great and had really good traction.

I have been looking at other tires, but I drive almost 60 miles a day....so, I am going to keep the Pirellis and just keep replacing them, **** it, if they are good enough for the Ferrari 360's then they are good enough for my car. lol, plus, they grip very well, and haven't seen any others that come close for the wear rating and cost, and they don't lose grip as they get old either. I have 15K on mine and am about to do my first road race on them...I just need to do my first rotation lol, the center of the fronts are almost smooth. lol

I would like to know how they grip from a stop and luanching hard. I'm not to worried about turns because most of the higher rated tires are way better then stockers. I'm worried about stright line traction.

Eh, probably about 2k so far...maybe a little more. The grip from take-off is good, and the tires wont break lose on my 1-2 shift anymore. They corner like mad, too. Now I just need the Sportlines...
