lightweight rim question

if i were to purchase a lightweight rim like the rotas that everyone was wanting to buy would it really make a significant gain in performance due to the weight reduction??

i was thinking of purchasing a set but i was afraid that the 17's were going to make my car look too high off the ground. i dont want to lower my car as of now cause its my daily driver and will be used in winter as well.. i also am not a huge fan of the sub-zeros, dont get me wrong they are pretty nice but not really 100% my taste.

Lightweight wheels in the 5x110 bolt pattern are extremely hard to come by. The Subzero are on the top of my list for the best looking wheels, but I set up the order for a decent set of wheels that were light for the true power hungry track ***** here. The benefits of reducing 5-10lbs of weight on each corner is extremely helpful in getting the power to the ground, and changing the cars handeling characteristics for the better. 18's could be had if that's what you want, but be prepared to pay some serious money for a one off set of lightweight wheels.

That was a concern on mine as well, but I'm probably going to get Variant coilovers so I can adjust the height as needed. I really don't have to worry about the winters like I used to in New Hampshire since I'm stationed in South Carolina now.

I can tell you that you will Feel the Difference! These Momo's weigh 17 lbs Each ! But what has been said is true they are Not Cheap!
You can See that the 18's still Dont fill it >>>Needs to be Lowered 1 inch or so!

xskier874 is on here too. He's at a Navy tech school in Charleston. I believe there is another member as well, but I can't remember his name.
