Likelyhood of wheel weight falling off?

I just had new tires mounted and balanced a few weeks ago. Recently it has been snowing, and Wyoming doesn't beleive in removing snow from the roads. Today the snow has started to melt and I noticed the car vibrating at speeds greater than 40mph.

I notice this mostly on the highway. It's been a few days since I've driven on solid pavement so I'm wondering if it's in my head or could the wheels be unblanced due to a weight falling off.

I checked the wheels and each one has a weight but they are different sizes. I expect each to be different but I'm wondering if a peice of one has fallen off.

On the highway I feel vibration in the steering wheel and on the floor. It could be the sections of that highway but I don't quite remember it being that bumpy.

I'm going to take it in tomorrow to have the balanced checked. What's the likelyhood of one breaking or falling off?

Thanks in advance.

i had a few come off on my summer tires, but you can see where the residue from whatever they stuck them on with is there. that's how i knew they fell off does it do it all the time, when you're crusing? or only during accel/decel.

It most noticeable at about 80mph. Theres no residue on the wheels so that makes me think it's just the road or my brakes are warped. I don't have any vibration on my brake pedal though. I'll have it looked at anyway. Hopefully it's just in my head.

One of the many weights in a strip should not be coming off. I used to work at a couple tire shops. They are made to wear if one wants to come off then they all do so its night and day when it happens. The strips must of sat in a hot area or got really really dirty when they put the strip on..just my info.

I work at a car dealer and we get a ton of vehicles come in for snow/ice in the wheels everytime it snows. They always think their car is falling apart.... lol

Most likely the issue. This happened to my Z24 after a big ass snowstorm, I thought I broke something doing too many e-brake slides.

I hope that is the case. I can't find anything mechanically wrong with the car.

Ya, i hate gettin ice, snow and mud in your rims. Then you gotta put up with the annoying vibration till you can wash it out. Which when washing your rims you ALWAYS get sprayed in the face. Lol..Well I do anyways.
