In a nut shell, they seem a little softer than the OEM Contis , have no rim protector, but have better grip.
I have not tried them in the rain, but suspect they will be fine as I had no problems w/ the Contis in the rain , even though the fronts were at the wear bars.
Subjectively, I like the looks of the Contis better, but I was not willing to wait, and the car is quieter now on the road, and feels smoother.
The downside is that the Michelins are guarenteed for 20K of tread life , meaning that I may be lucky to get the same 21.5 K off these as the OEM tires.
Time will tell.
HTH's !!

If I were you I'd look at the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport - the 2nd generation of the PS2. It looks to have a 30,000mi warranty which I suspect you will get about 20,000mi.
