new 18's

i got 18's for my 2.4 and as soon as i got them on as i came to a stop at a light my steering wheel would shake. This didnt happen before when i had my 17's. Does that simple mean i need new brakes or is something wrong with the 18's? oh and by the way when im driving fast my car drives smooth, its only when i come to a stop..im guessing just brakes?

Check if the new wheels have hub-centric rings.

Just take one wheel off and check if it has the hub-centric rings

Or possibly lugs just have come loose a little? Re torque suggested after new rims installed after about 50 miles.

If it only happens when your braking, more than likely your rotors are warped. Happened to me when I got my 18s on my old LT. I just had my rotors resurfaced and it fixed it. Your rotors may have been warped before, and they 18s amplified the shake and made it noticeable.

That sounds the most logical I'm going to assume you got new tires too that would also make you feel things you never did before.

they can be warped already if the lugs wernt torqued properly, overtighting or not tight enough/equal all the way around can cause your rotors to warp

I assume you took the rims off the car and painted them? Because if you painted the brake pads by accident.. well that could be a problem.
