Just wanted to get everyones opionions on these. They are 16 Quantum Tec Alloy S-13s with 16" low pro tires not sure of the exact dimmensions of them. The guy told me 2 of them have quite a bit of tread left on them but the other 2 may need to be replaced and said that I might not want to use the low pros on my LS cobalt. Just wanted to get everyones opinions on that as well. I'm getting a set of 4 with the tires for $200

if you have a LS cobalt, doesnt that mean you are 4-lug? Those rims look like 5-lug to me

 

Yea they are 4 lug the pic i got online is for the 5 lug ones but they come in both 4 and 5 lug patterns

Yea this guy has had them lying around in storage. He bought them off someone else thinking that they would fit his car but they didnt and just wants to get rim of them and i personally know the guy cuz he is in a car club that I am in. The tire brand is Proxes. Not sure how good that brand is. I personally have never heard of them before. My main consern is it i am going to have any issues with going from 15" hubs and regular tire to 16" with low pros. The guy im getting them from thinks they may not work but didnt really give any reasoning. The only thing i could think of is the odometer reading not sure if the size is going to effect that and if i have to have the ecu updated or something. Other than that the only problem i can think of is the way they look on the car might not be the greatest. Anyone have any ideas

At this point im not too worried about the look of them anything is better than my current hubs and is a cheap alternative till i can save some money for the 17s that I really want that cost around 5-6 hundred. Also when that time comes i can easily make my money back on the rims by selling them to someone else

Im not sure what to think about them. I kinda like them and kinda dont. Guess that makes them ok in my book however you wouldnt be able to put them on a cobalt. The smallest they come in is 22s and those cost $12500 thats nearly the cost of my car. I think i'll pass on them

 

A guy has those similar style wheels on a silver cobalt near where I live. I think they look like crap, and while they may look different from stockers, they don't look better. As to the "low pro" question, you'd have to find out what size rubber. To be close to OEM, you'd have to be at approximately 205/50/16 tire size to be close to the original size (195/60/15).

If they are siginficantly smaller than this (IE 205/40 or 45/16) They will me much too small. Hope this helps in your decision process.

The tires i found out are Toyo Proxes 205/40/16. Are the tires gonna be ok to run on my car or do i have to get bigger tires?

I found a tire calculator online and with the tires that are on the rims if my odometer says im doing 60mph id really only be goind 55.6mph a difference of 3.4mph which in my case may be a good idea cuz i like to speed about 5 over so i really would be around the speed limit with these lol but on a more serious matter i'd prolly want to get new tires. Anyone know where to get some for cheap

 

if the wheels you really want are $500-$600...and you already have $200 saved up...why not keep saving?

 

who cares if they are.. still a hell of a deal. you could probably turn them around and resell them for couple hundred more

 

Exactly thats why i dont really care what they look like. Its one hell of a deal. I'll run them for awhile til i have some more money saved up and turn around and resell easily for the price i paid for them. I looked up the rims and they are going for near $160 a piece. I could easily turn around and sell them for $125 a piece and make $300 off them

 

not so much for the wheels but the price is good.

 

I got the set yesterday. 2 of the rims are in perfect condition and the other 2 have minor scuffs on them. The tires like i perviously said are toyo proxes 205/40/ZR16. 3 of the tires look brand new and the other is a little worn but not too bad. Also i think the worst one of the bunch has a screw in it that needs to be patched but overall one hell of a deal. Still debating if i want to ride on the small tires or not
