New Tires: What Brand?

So the stock tires on my car only have about 2000km worth of tread left them and I'm going to replace them over the winter time. I can't decide between the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2's, or Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. Does anyone have any experience with either of these tires? Any feedback would be great.

(oh ya cost isn't really an issue for me as the dealer i got my car from is good friends with my family and they will order whatever tire i want and charge me cost)

i have heard the tread wear on the KDW's is pretty weak. I mean its an outstanding tire just doesn't last long enough for the money.

neither of the ones you've picked.

my hands down faverit is the Falken RT-615

i ran kumho's, the BFG you want, the michelin you want, and a different set of pirellis and not a SINGLE ****** one touched the falken.

i just finished my first summer on a set, and bar none i'll be back on a new set come next summer. truly awesome tire!!

235/40/18 sticky SOB, and its held up better, tread ware wise, then either the kuhmo or BFG.

the PS2 was better in the colder temps if it matters to you.

They are both awesome tires obviously. If you want to base it off of performance AND looks, then the BFGs get the nod from me.

I had the ps2's on my cobalt, they gripped like an sob, handled like you wouldn't believe, but the tread wear was horrible. They grip good in cold weather as well. I have the Kumho Escta supras in 225/40r18 and they aren't too bad. Next I would like to try the maxis. Here in Canada, the BFG are just way too expensive..

Nice tires! But WAAAAAAAAY tooo expensive for me. I have Falken's and having owned just about every brand out there I can honestly say that for the price you CAN NOT beat them. The ride and handleing are on par with the KDW's and they cost less then the Kuhmo's do. Totaly best of both worlds IMO.

I don't know either of those tires....but popping on to ask what the arguement is against the Goodyear GS-D3s. I had those for a while and they made turns fun in my Camaro. Also were nearly impossible to hydroplane on.

As far as the pricing goes between the KDW and the Falken, if you search around you can get the KDW's for cheaper than the Falken's

Ok I gotta do it. BULL ****!! I got my Falken's for $82.00 a piece for 245/40 18's. I CHALLANGE you to find the KDW's for the same price much less any cheaper! The cheapest I could get that size KDW for was almost $100.00 more a piece.

KDW's cheaper then Falkens's? You musta done gone and bumped your head!

Best I have ever seen for KDW's was when I paid 150 a tire. I shopped around a lot.

u can get ONE KDW cheaper that a FEW Falken tires lol The KDW's are good but unless you just have the funds or you REALLY like them.. the Falkens are good. I had the GRB Betas( now the FK 452's) and i loved them.. The 615 are great from what i hear about them. 452's get loud after a while but the 615 are very quiet from all the reviews
