New wheels on the way! Well in a couple weeks

So yeah the Cobalt will be paid off in full in about another week or two thanks to a re-finance on the house and we'll have about $10grand in cash left over at closing so I'm getting my new wheels and just in time for the show in Laurel MD in Sept! WOOT! Anyways what do you guys think of these ...

And DAMN IT I just saw these too! ...

They are to go on this ...

Now I've always LOVED the BBS style mesh wheels but thoes split 5 spokes looks hott too! Still leaning toward the mesh wheels, what do you guys think?

And yes tint is on the way too!

If anyone could photo shop them that would be awesome and worth +rep too! Thanks.

I think the first ones with a drop would look the best.

the bbs style ones would look out of place on a sedan imo, the spokes would look great!

Its already sitting on Sportlines, how much lower should I go? Or rather how much lower could I go?

The only issue with the spokes is they're the wrong color! I NEED silver wheels or chrome wheels. Gun metel is the only problem I have with them.

I like the 2nd ones (Axis Matrix) much better. There's a black SS/SC rocking them on here somewhere, and they look sick. Plus, I'm prior to Axis anyways.

So far about 50/50 on which way to go. The AXIS wheels are hot but the hyper black (I misspoak earlier on the gun metal) I'm not so sure they'd go well on my sport red car. I'm going for a chrome/silver and body color theme with the car thats why I went with the chrome projectors. After the wheels the CA billet grills are next.

Does anyone know if the AXIS wheels can be had in silver/hyper silver? I looked ont he AXIS site and it done't say anything about color.

Yeah, and Axis is a great company to work with. They custom drilled my wheels for free (via wheelsnext) b/c they no longer offered the 5x110 bolt pattern in that particular wheel.

Either choice will look great Terry. I personally would go with the second choice.

Hey Jackalope, I just wanted to run an idea by ya for kicks. I'm not saying you should even be remotely interested in my idea, but this is just an idea.

Back before I bought my white 2.4SS, I had told my girlfriend how much I wished they would've offered it in a maroon/burgundy color, b/c I've always wanted that color car to throw some gold wheels on. Anywho, I ordered my car out of an '06 brochure, so I was unaware of the sport tint red color that was going to be offered for '07's. About a week after I took delivery of my car, roughly 2 months after I had ordered....what do I see? A maroon (sport tint red) 2.4SS coupe drive in front of me through a stoplight I'm at. Needless to say I was somewhat dissapointed (and jealous, lol) but I got over it. Anywho, skip forward a few months. I'm bored at my computer on my day off with nothing to do, so just for kicks, I decided to see if there are even any gold wheels offered for our cars. I mean hech, its hard enough finding a common colored wheel like silver or black for our goofy 5X110 hubs, so I thought finding a gold wheel would be nearly impossible. (Before I bought my 2.4SS I was unaware of its 5X110 hub and the lack of wheels offered to us). Well I finally found one.....and only one....gold wheel. And its even made by a very reputable brand. I can't tell you the exact name of the wheel b/c I'm on my sidekick and I can't open multiple pages at once, but the wheel is made by Maxxim (division of Konig wheels), and I thinks its like an 8 spoke design, sold gold, and beyond sexy IMO on your colored car. Not to mention very different for a Cobalt. Sure, there's plenty of Hondas rocking maroon/gold schemes w/ their fancy Volk/Advans wheels, but doing that scheme in a Cobalt would be a first. Anywho, performance plus tire (www.performanceplustire.com) has the wheels in an 18" package w/ tires for less than a thousand I believe, and you can choose your tires. I remember when I looked at them, I bundled them with some Falken FK-452 tires and they still came out under $1,000.....such a sick deal. I just ordered a new 225/35/19 Nankang NS-11 last night from them (stupid nails) so I can let you know how their custom service and everything is.

Sorry for the long post, just shooting you an idea from one Cobalt lover to another!

Yeah actualy the more I look at the hyper black the more its growing on me.

I alsp went to Pep Boys and found a knock off of the AXIS wheels made by Primax for about half the price! + no shipping charges since they'd be delivered to them! AND they have them in hyper silver and hyper black! As long as they offer my stupid lug pattern I do believe I'll be getting them.
