Nitto NT555 How are they?

If your running Nitto NT555's let me know how you like them and how they are wet and dry. Not worried about all season I have snow tires for that. These will be summer only!
thanks

Spend the money on better tires. Star Specs, Yoko AD08, Hankook RS3, or even NT05's.

If I was just using my car as a occasional driver and track car like you I would. But mine is used everyday commuting 125 miles per day. Yes it will go to the track once or maybe twice a year but will have to run in rain at freeway speeds and will need to make 20,000 plus miles too. What class are you going to run at RA MFBA?

You get what you pay for with these tires. They are cheap but a decent tire . If you want better your looking at 200+ a tire. I'm on neo gens right now and I am going invos or star specs next set. The 555s will last longer for commuting than a stickier more expensive tire.

I paid $500 for a set of 4 last summer (235/40-18) and switch them out in the winter for Michilen Alpin’s. These are excellent dry traction tires for summer if you’re making less than 300 whp. Wet traction is terrible in my option and dangerous if you like to corner fast when the pavement is damp/wet.

The price was too good to pass up, but I will probably choose the Star Spec’s next time around since I don’t care about tread life.

i just put 255/40 kdw's on 18x8's. i really like them so far. they will still spin but they hook much better than my previous 3 sets (hancook, michelin, kuhmo...kuhmo's suck ass btw just needed something cheap at the time). oh and absolutely no rubbing at stock ride height

I have NT05's...but they sucked ***** in the rain. GREAT in the dry. I think I'll try starspecs next. Hill climb in the rain on a cliff was kind of scary with all the wheel spin

You may want to look at the Continental Extreme Contact DW(Dry / Wet). They have a 340 UTG tread wear, good wet/dry traction, sidewall is a smidge soft but you will get use to it. I have put 27,000mi on the set I have and the tread is at the wear bar so.

You can get 20000 miles out of star specs(dunlop), best summer tire available hands down.

i burned through a set of kuhmo's (can't remember which ones) in less than 8k....fronts only.....they were horrible but they weren't a summer tire either. they're what i just took off my fronts. they lasted 4 months this is my 4th set of fronts and 2nd set of rears i have bought in the last 18 months
