Where did the vibration come from, I have vibration as well and I'm slammed on 19's. But mine is on when the car hasn't been driven for awhile, but it goes away, i've check everything out and can't find a reason for it.

i had vibration from the front. i was on my stock wheels with h&r springs. mechanics said it was my front "AXELS" "BINDING" so ya dont know and never could figure it out so i took them off and sold them so now i might get springs that arent sooooo low

I dont have an issue with the front but you could have been lower then I am as im on 19x9s..Mine is only when it has been sitting, I just pulled mine out of storage after a few months of sitting and it road pretty rough till it was kinda warmed up I guess lol

I just put ASA JH9s (19s) on my Cobalt SS, and seems the lug nuts were kinda short. Did any of you have to change out anything or did you use the lugs that came with them and haven't had any issues? We are a little nervous they'll fly off easier or something lol. Yes maybe a silly worry but just wondering from those of you who have 19s or specifically these rims. Thanks :D

As long as they tighten up properly and you torque them to 100ft/lbs, they should be fine.

I'm seemingly ok with that, my hubby said that he only got around 5 turns on em before he started torquing them, and that 9 is more of a standard of turns. So as long as ya'll think it's plenty strong enough then I'm happy. He still would prefer to order some lug nuts that actually go further since the center of the rim is thicker than stock. I adore the look of these though even without lowering thus far ... here's a picture from my iphone. (my car is filthy at the moment but oh well) They ride lovely too never got over 40 though lol.

They look good! You will need longer studs, not different lugs. You didn't use the stock lugs, did you?

clonehappy 03-21-2010 10:57 PM

No we used the ones that came with the rims. I thought hon said something about he found lugs that would fit in there further without having to replace the studs. I dunno ... I love em but I hope that it's not entirely too unsafe. I'd like to travel to see my mom 3 hours away but if it's risky that they'll come loose :-\ Just not sure.

these pics just made my day i wanted to buy these rims but i didn't know what it would look like with a red car

05sattyredline 03-31-2010 07:26 PM

I've never heard the amount of turns as being any sort of standard. They way I have been taught over the years was based on the shear (breaking off) strength of the bolt. You don't get maximum shear until you have at least the same amount of bolt length as the bolt diameter. So, if you had a 1/2" bolt (close to the 12mm that we have for studs), you would need at least 1/2" of stud showing. If you have at least that, you should be fine. Wheels look great, btw.
