Our Crappy 5x110 Pattern
Hey. Since the 2.0 guys, such as myself, have crumby 5x110 bolt patters, it really sucks getting some decent rims. I have been searching online and discovered wheel adapters! Most of you probably already know what they do anyway but it's the first time i've seen them. Now I have a question, would it be a good idea to buy a wheel adapter for our car or would it be a waste of money??? (I don't know how much they cost but probably cost a good chunk)

I've done that research already and here's what I found.
Most prices for a set of four are between $180-$250. However, it is difficult to make the adapters thin enough so that the wheels you use with them will not stick out beyond the fender.
If you want to use adapters, you'll have to find a company that makes them 20mm thick, which is the thinnest I found anyone will do. Some companies refuse to go that thin because of strength and reliability issues.
When you choose a wheel to use with the adapters, you'll want to try to find one with at least a 5mm higher offset than our stock wheel offset of +42 (so you'll want to use wheels with +48 or higher), to help accomodate the thickness of the adapter. You have to go in knowing the adapter will push your wheels out regardless, some people don't like that look, I for one love it when the wheels are close to flush with the fenders.

Yeah, my 18's make my brothers' 18's look like 17's because of his lip. I want an 18 inch rim but i'm afraid that the lip is going to make it look like I have 17's....But yeah I guess wheel adapters is out of the question.
