Is it possible?

Is it possible to change the spindle on an SS/SC which is the 5x110 bolt pattern with one on a base cobalt which has the more popular 4x100? Just wondering if it can be done, because the lack of performance rims (or any for that matter) sucks and I'm tired of it!

I don't know if it's possible, but I don't see why you'd want a 4-bolt pattern instead of a 5-bolt pattern. Just wait it out, they'll be here before you know it.

Isn't a 4x100 pattern weaker? Less bolts... more stress on each of them.

I'd want to stick with the 5x110 pattern... just for that reason.

Just try being happy with at least having wheels. Us LS guys didnt get ****, unless you upgrade to the sport package. And there are some wheels out for the SS, just few and far between...

I suggested that you wait it out, and one person informed you that less bolts = more stress. What do you want to hear, that downgrading is a good idea?

No, No, No. I got what you two were saying, I was refering to sdunkf there. If 4 isn't better than 5 which makes sense, then cool. I only chose 4x100 because it's one of the more popular ones. I hear you on waiting, I'm just trying to do a lot at once and I'm one of those impatient people is all. The only thing sdunkf put on there that was helpful was that jline website. Which is cool. Thats all he had to say. Heck if you know someone whose got good rims for our cars, then just let a brother know. It's all good. I just want some nice and lightweight and our options are pretty limited, even compared to such cars as the scion, civic si, or vw. I don't think it was a totally stupid question though.
