i just dont know how low these progress lowering springs will take me down. dude is sellin some american racing casinos for $650 w/out rubber. they look nice, but i'm worried if i use 17's what the wheel gap will be?

Stick w/ your 18"s.

Unless they are some super lightweight 17"s (like Enkei RP01's or something), then I think going down to 17"s will be somewhat of a downgrade.

really? i heard that smaller diameter rims will give you a little itty bitty performance edge due to the smaller circumference of the wheel. im not looking for perfomance tho, its all about esthetics, i just want to know if the 17's will look good with the 2" drop all around...

exactly, itty-bitty performance gain, which isn't really worth it IMO. I have 19"s (19" Axis Mods, 24.5lbs each), which are actually lighther than stock SS/SC 18"s. They are just barely heavier than my stock SS 17"s, so I didn't really feel any decrease in performance when I went UP two sizes in my wheels, as my overall diamater is just barely bigger than my 17"s were w/ the 50 profile tire.

Thanks man. No problem. Oh, just some info you might wanna know, the Progress springs won't lower and SS/SC 2". It'll be a 1" drop for an SS or SS/SC. For an LS/LT it'll be a 2" drop, b/c the LS/LT springs are an 1" taller than the SS and SS/SC springs. They will use the same aftermarket springs, but the LS/LT's will experience a larger drop b/c of the fact that their stock springs are taller.
