all the cars in 2008 are suppose to have a tire pressure monitoring system and if I were to get after market wheels do I have to buy a set of monitors for it or can i just turn the sensor off all together?

I was able to reuse the original sensors. I asked my dealer though and they said there were different mounts they could get for the sensors for different wheels. Still no guarantee they will work with all wheels though.

2008 Cobalt

Hey guys, Im new to the forums and I also have a 2008 cobalt with the tire sensors. My question is do any of you think that the sensor in my 15-inch steel wheel with hubcaps will fit on a stock 2006 16-inch machine-faced aluminum wheel?

A wheel like this:

Also,

Has anyone yet come across how the sensors work?

Do they have to be programed into the car by using the serial number of the sensor?

Sorry for all the questions, i just got the car a week ago.

the sensors might work, but the rims won't fit cause the 15" steelies are 4 lug and those rims are obviosly 5 lug.
