RaceLine Wheels

The guys from RaceLine were by the shop today (they co-sponsor a race team with us) and in the talk of wheels and new stuff they are working on I suggested they consider making a 17 and 18" wheel for the TC Cobalt owners. They said they had one already, and one that they can modifiy to fit (5x112) AND that they have a magnesium wheel coming out (think DC-6) that only weighs 9 pounds, and will fit the SS/TC. Just a heads up for you TC guys looking for wheels.

Correct, the wheels on the site are 5x112; but the original poster said that the company would make a 5x110 and 18's for the SS/TC owners.

At least that's what I read; the link I posted was only reference for the magnesium wheel.

does that help?

Would he do it for SS/SC owners. Really want those Magnesium wheels but need 18's not 17's.

heck yeah, can't beat a lightweight wheel.

Q, does the weight effect ride quality?

I don't think many people have yet to see whatthe TC is doing to the older SS aftermarket. If they were still supercharged I guarantee we wouldn't be getting these wheels.

Those are sexy.

Thumbs up

I'm ready to buy these and I think we can get a minimum order - if we know what a minimum order is :-)

I talked with a guy from Raceline and he said that the 18"s were still up in the air but that the 17x7.5 should start production around the end of January and retail for $205. 9lbs each for $205 sounds like a no brainer to me. I can't wait to get a set. I really wish I could get ahold of 18s. Anybody know of any other Magnesium wheels on the market that actually look good like these do?

Hell, I've paid as much as $600.00 per rim for Volks and some Prodrive GC06's, I'd pay Raceline to make me a set of 18's for $400.00 each(magnesium) any day........ I'd even pay more if cost more...

Yeah I asked him about some one-off 18s and he never gave me a definite answer to if they could do it

Still waiting on the 17s @ the end of January I haven't emailed them in a while about the 18s. Maybe someone wants to shoot them one. The more interest the more likely they are to produce them.
