Refinished SS/SC rims (gunmetal) updated w/new pics

I just got my SS/SC back from the dealer, I had them refinish the wheels in gunmetal rather then the lighter stock color. Excuse the fact that the car is a little dirty...the weather sucks ass today so I can't wash the damn thing

They are, it's just really crap weather outside right now. I'll postup more pics when it's actually sunny outside and they're clean. Yesterday when it was sunny they were glowing.

I wish I could get those rims for the 2.2L. Bolt pattern on the 2.2L is 4x100

The car was originally titled in October, I bought it in May used with 11000~km on it. The used car dealer put the new tires on it...so I've no idea what happened to the old ones, the used dealer was selling the car as an "practically new" car, so I imagine they had to put new rubber as it would look bad to sell it with half a year's treadwear...though you'd think the stock tires woulda been almost new, since you wouldn't get much out of them before winter hit around here.

The dealer paid for it all under warranty...I believe the guy re-doing my rims charged them in the area of $380 CDN for all 4 wheels. The only issue with getting one re-done is from what I've heard the stock color is not easy to color match, it's some sort of black color with a silver mist. My dealer was worried about a color match enough that they opted to do all 4 wheels rather then attempt it on 2 and have issues...so if I were you I'd find someone with a good rep (ask some local dealers...if the guy does crap work dealers wouldn't use him) and get a price on all 4.

Dealer paid for it...an independant local shop does the work for them. I've already given his name to a bunch of friends who were hesitant about gettin their wheels redone, after they saw how mine came out they pratically beat my door down to get his number.

no offense but they look the same as all the rest of the SS/SC rims other then they look slighly lighter than anything.

None taken...though I'm not sure about the lighter comment, as they're significantly darker then stock SS/SC rims, next time I'm at the dealer I'll park next to one of their SS/SC's and take a picture.

The main point of the thread was to show if done properly re-finished wheels can come out looking very good...I've read a few threads where people are worried their rims are going to come out worse (and some have)...this should not be happening and if it does someone doesn't know what they're doing.

Looks great! It's amazing what tire shine does for the look of any set of wheels!
