Replace Stock Wheel Lock Key?

2006 Cobalt SS/SC and I'm the second owner. Original owner lost the wheel lock key.

Will/can a dealership replace that?

Only if you have the serial number from the wheel lock package can they replace it. I had to do it about 6 months back, it wasn't expensive.. like 20 bucks if I recall. If not then they have tools to get them off but they'll destroy the wheel lock in the process.

Any wheel lock will take them off, the locks are pretty universal

It'll probably be easier to just get them to take them off and replace them with a new set.

How long is the serial number? I have a piece of paper that looks like a serial number and its about 6 characters long, I think.

Link me to some cheap ones that would probably do the job? If any auto stores like oreillys, pep boys, autozone, etc would have them, that'd be fine too. I live in Metro Detroit.

Just got back from the dealership and Belle Tire.

Dealership wanted $60 just to take off the locks, not including replacing them with lugs.
$26 out the door for removal and lugs from Belle Tire.

Don't think I'm buying wheel locks after all this.
