rim repair on tc rims?

I have some scratches on my rims from an incident. The body shop is saying they can repair them. My insurance company is paying for it and I just want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off. Are there any draw backs from having these repaired?

They aren't bad, which is the only reason I'm even entertaining this idea. Powdercoating is not an option.

Mostly scratches, not rash. What are the negatives to doing this? The place doing it is said to be good at this sort of thing I'm just iffy about it.

Yeah well I'm not paying for it either way... repaired or replaced. That's why I want to make sure I am getting what I deserve after paying way too much for insurance every month. Anyone have rim repair shots before/after?

Well the stockers are powdercoated from the factory, so I'd just be worried that the paint wouldn't hold up as well.

I dunno he has this liquid stuff that he used on them, I'd have to look to see what it is. But when I hit the curb at the gas station(this was like 2 years ago) my wheel looked FUCKED. And he fixed it and it was good as new.

I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow... It really is mostly just scratches, no rash, no chunks missing...
