Tire fitment question

After searching the site for a clear answer, I didn't really get what I was looking for. So here it goes. I have a 2006 Cobalt SS/SC, stock wheels, stock suspension. Currently running 215-45/18 Goodyear GT's. Looking for a new set of tires. I am interested in going a bit wider on my tire size. Will the 235-40/18 fit or not? If so, provide pics. Oh and I am thinking about getting Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Thanks guys.

Conti dws is an awesome tire. You can fit a 235, but you dont really want to , on the rim width you have. Go 225 ;you will be happy and pay a little less for the tire.

Thanks. I was considering the 225-40/18 as well. Just not sure where to buy them from. My current set came from Tirerack.
