Tpms help

Hey guys installed the winter tires on the ss and tried to relearn the tpms and I can get the front left to chirp but when I go over to passenger front it won't read for some reason. The back passenger reads. Can it be a bad valve stem? The signals don't flash either.

I'm guessing the sensor is dead(battery died) and you would need a new one

Sensor bolts to the inside of the stem with a small torx screw. Sensor is probably dead. If you haven't driven on them do that first for about 20mi or so to try and wake it and try to relearn again, sometimes they don't want to wake up after sitting idle for a long period of time.

Ahh ok gotcha. Thx guys I just mounted the winter tires on. But I had them on for about a week before I tried setting them. So ya I guess it's the sensor. I'm assuming that's a dealer item. Are they expensive?

Tire shop will have these for cheaper than a dealership.

Chevy used a couple different part numbers depending on the model year..... let me know the specific year for your SS and I'll look up the part number

We use aftermarket ones at work from John Dow, I believe the company is called. They are fairly cheap and work well. I don't know if the battery life is as good as OEM but I've only seen one fail in my 3 years there, and we replace a lot of factory ones.
