Last spring I traided my stock 18s for a set of 17s from an SS N/A.

Well today I went to put the tires on and I found that the fronts had less then 3/32s left on them and one of the rears had a screw in the inner sholder and it was flat. The other rear tire had a srew in the center of it but it was in a 60 degree angle and could not be fixed. It was also flat!

Im not vary happy about this. But its partly my falt for leting my step dad check the tires when the guy came to get my tires. And then not rechecking them till today. But Im still not happy that I got screwd on the deal.

And the rims ar scratched to. Not badly but it pisses me off.
Im going to have them painted black though so its not a big deal. But I was told they looked new with almost new tires with nothing wrong with them.

So I went to get new tires today.

I got a set of four 215/50/17s and they look realy good. There Fusion HRIs. There a directional tire and have a good looking tread to them.

I got a good deal on them.
$475.00 on the car. They seam to do well in the rain, I have not got to test them in the snow yet. But they should do good.

They do ride beter then the P6s that where on there.
They where 205/50/17s but the size I went with looks beter and is closer to the stock size for the 18s then the P6s where.

They seam to handle well for the typ of tire they are to. Not as good as my KDW2s in the dry but there beter then the KDWs in the wet for sure.

Im happy with them and am going to take a 400 miles trip tomarrow and sunday with them.

what is the width of that rim?

 

Its a 6.5" wide rim if Im not mastaken. Today I got to drive about 200 miles on them and put them to the test in some curvy dry roads and I have to say that for an inexpensive all season tire they did vary well.

GM says 7" bit I was hoping there wider than that like the 18" rims.

 

The 18s are 7" wide. And after checking the 17s are to.
