What are the absolute lightest wheels?

I have an 08 SS/TC and I am wondering what the absolute lightest wheels for the car would be. I am looking to lighten up the car as much as possible.

Motegi has some amazingly light race rims. 17ish pounds for 18's. Work and Volk also make some very light rims.

well you have to make sure you get a 5x110

i dont know what wheel SilverShadow is referring to but Motegi's TrakLites dont come in 18s or 5x110, and the SP10s arent offered in 5x110.

probably best to look into some Volks / Gram Lights but they are pretty pricey

my bad, I've got the 4x100 bolt pattern so I can buy pretty much anything for mine Forgot you guys have a shitty bolt pattern. Looks like you can get the DV5's and SP5's for that bolt pattern from motegi, not sure how much they weigh though. Look up the Work Emotion CR KAI rims in 18" they fit and look bad as hell and I'm sure they're light. They're on ebay for 900 shipped for 4, not bad for race rims.

Look up Centerlinewheels.com and search by your bolt pattern. They have 19's that weigh 18 lbs. that is friggin awesome. Not sure how much they cost though. all of their rims are forged and are really light. Their 18's weigh 17 lbs. and 17's weigh 15-16 lbs. That's about the best I've found.

If you have about 5k to spare you can have some made..... Other than that OZ has some that are 18lbs about $1300.00 for the set....

Work Emotion CR KAI rims arent light and not forged as for Motegi they dont make a light weight rim either for our cars.

With money being no object, I am 100% sure you can get them to custom make you wheels for your SS/TC....

Wow. That is insane.

Unfortunatly I have a basic rule which is to never spend over half my cars value on just wheels! Haha.

You call and we answered. When you ask "What are the absolute lightest wheels?", what do you expect our answer would be?? Some $300 enkei!?

May be you should have added your budget in your thread to begin with.

MOMO FLX 2's weigh 17lbs each & list for 680.00 each, you have to get them drilled from 5 x 112 to 5 x 110. I spent $2,500.00 w/Drilling, Tires & $250.00 shipping included from Motorsports marketing in Cali.

They (Centerline) list their 18's at 17 lbs., 17's between 14-15 lbs. on their website. That is still very good for the price. Nowhere near 14.4
