What all season tires to get?

I live in Michigan with 4 seasons and I want to replace my stock Continental tires with all season tires. I want to drive confidently in the winter and stay safe. I don't want to be skating around on my Continentals and hoping for the best. I think the Blizzaks would probably be the best performer in snow but probably the most expensive tire. Although I am not too worried about price because tires are for safety and my life is worth a lot of money spent on tires. Which tires would you get?

After much research I would get the Goodyear GT AS as these seem like they are by far the best tire for the $$$. See my post below for the best price I found on them.

Wow you got a really good deal. I was quoted $754.72 for a set of 4 installed for that tire.

Call me anul but whenever I need to buy something I do massive research and spend hours seeing who has the best deal

There are plenty more where I bought mine from, just make sure to use "live search" for the $137.75 cashback

I have the Pole Positions and could not be happier...have not had them in the snow yet, but I don't feel like I have sacrificed any of the dry performance while still staying safe in poor weather...

The only complaint I have is that they don't have a rim guard like the stock tires. If you look at all of the TireRack surveys and tests, they were the best performing tire in the category...

I have Falcon Ziex 912's and have been rather happy with them. Of course I can still spin them pretty hard from a stop, but they handle well and are great in the rain. I have not had them in the snow at all, but like any tire really they are pretty bad in the ice...

I love my Blizzaks so far in the snow. Only had one light snowfall though. However, they are winter tires and I hate them when it's warm out. I put them on when it was getting cold and snow was forecast and then we had a heatwave up to 60-70°. They are terrible at that temp with cornering.

So I went to a different Belle Tire location and they told me they do not have any of the tires that I am interested in. They are going to call their suppliers tomorrow morning and see if they can get them for me. They only had two tires in stock that were the correct size, one was a Toyo Proxie and the other a Kelly Fierce. The tread pattern on the Kelly tire looks terrible for snow, I cannot believe it is an all season. I am not going to pay $700 for tires I don't want. I'm off to Walmart to see if they have anything.

Walmart didn't have anything and they have a whopping 3 choices on their website that can be ordered and sent to the store for install. I am gonna say a prayer tonight and hope that Belle Tire can order the Bridgestone Potenza tires from their supplier for a reasonable price.

Can't be any worse than the stock tires. What would you run in the summer that would give better wear ?

which ones do you have? I just put Bilzzak WS-50's on Marsha (commuter) and have great grip so far (have only had light snow) but as you said the cornering (even mild cornering) SUCKS!!! I had the Dunlop Winter Sport M3's on the SC the last 2 winters and they were amazing and cornered great as well.

the next snow tires I get must be H-rated!!!
