Do some research on the Nitto Invo's. They are apparently VERY grippy and quiet. That's what I will be getting with my new rims most likely. Definitely go with 235/40's with the power you are putting down. The extra grip will help you put it to the ground.

cheapest im finding the kdw2s is 720 shipped for 4 on 235/40./18s on discounttiredirect.com

on another note im really liking the bigger size for the first time today since ive had the new supercharger i was able to go full throttle in 2nd gear without breaking the tires loose, im running some semi used stock continentals that are on the 08-09 SS and they arent bad

255-40-18... Have them on my car in the rear, no rubbing or any issues.... They only stick out from the rim 1/4 inch.... if that..... I'll take a pic and show you later....

They may work on the rears because those wheels don't turn, but they will rub up front when you turn. 245's MAX up front.

And I run 245's on 7.5 rims but they corner like crap . Drag radial setup only counted on for straight line.

on the tire manufacture website, they almost always list an approved rim width range for each individual tire.
