wheel fitment

Just wondering if anyone knew if a 18 x 8.5 rim with a +34mm offset would work on an ss/sc? The tire size they are saying with that rim is 225/40R18.

You would lose about 0.5 inches of clearance inside and they would stick out about 1" futher from where the stock rims are.
