is wheelmax a good place to buy rims? i've a lot of postive and negative things about it. Also do they do a good job of mounting and balancing tires? I was just thinking about buying the rims from them and then having a place near me mount and balance the rims and tires.

 

I bought the rims for my last car there. I went there in person. It's big warehouse and they stock tons of wheels and tires. The mounting, balancing and packaging is very good.

 

i went with Wheelsnext.com alos good selection and pricing.. plus for like $40 shipp. you can get lowering springs added

 

to me they look like they have alot of cheap knock off wheels

even more knock off than Rotas

 

I have purchased 2 sets of wheels and tires from wheelmax and 1 set from wheelsnext. Wheelmax has good prices (i think) for rims and tires.

 

their customer service sucks!! Guy i bought them from failed to mention they only had 3 or the rims in the warehouse. The money was taken out so we called to see why the rims hadn't shown up a few days later. She said they would ship that day and it would be 2-3days they didn't show so we called. the guy i talked to then said (after i was on hold for 5 mintues) that they only ever had three and were waiting for the fourth. Had no explanation on why the charged me and never called me to inform that they only had 3. Also didn't know why the lady said they were shipping. 10 days later i finally got my refund...they suck!

 

i had no problems with them. they shipped my wheels pretty fast

 

Their customer service isn't that great. Someone had cross-threaded one of the lug nuts on my old Eclipse and the stud had to be broken off with a new one welded on. I just needed 1 lug nut from them. I ordered it 3 times and they never sent it. Idiots!

 

owned two sets of wheels on my cavy from wheelmax. great service, fast delivery, good prices. im a happy customer.
