wheels .. balance/weights question

excuse my ignorance once again, but how is everyone doing??

ok question, if you seen in my previous post i bought a set of wheels/tires from another cobaltSS memeber. simple 16inch wheels... replacing my current 15 inchers.

im assumeing there should be no problem getting them on. my question is, how hard it is to take the weights off the wheels?? i want to take them from the outside of the wheel, to the inside... if i go to get them balance and what not... can they do this for me?

Let them do both the On and Off. It's their job and they won't charge you at all..

alright thats sweet, thanks alot

I wonder if anyone can 2nd what my dad told me.

Im not a car guy so the weights never would have been a thought in my mind. But my dad asked me where they were... i was like umm the what?

anyways he told me what they were, i looked for them and they are on the outside. he told me to get them on the inside because they look stupid and with the moisture or whatever in the air can make a chemical re action and i guess stain the wheel or discolored around the area the weight is at? i dunno, im like mmmkay dad.

I've had the weights chip the finish off of my wheels which exposed the bare metal to air, water, and salt. It can make your wheels start to rust. (if they are steel) That might be what he meant.
