Wheels and Tires going on!
I posted a thread a while back when I was trying to decide what to get. Sizes and all that
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/wheels-tires-96/wheel-tire-combo-question-98685/
I decided after the post from Enuff_Said to take a look at Konig products, I found that the Konig Daylite would meet my needs. The 17x7 4x100 rim in black is what I went with. I still have to spray the lip to get rid of the yellow stripe. But I was surprised to find that the advertised weight was spot on. I was looking at these Konig's the Centerlines, and the Motegi's. All between 14 and 16lbs reported weight.
The way I figure if im gonna pay money to put something on the car it had better make it look better and perform better, not just one or the other. So no 28lb slugs for me.
I weighed the Konig's minutes after they arrived and here they are.

14.5 pounds and half the cost of the Motegi's Not forged but I can live with it. At $126 each this was by far the best solution.

discounttiredirect says that the bfg gforce ta kdws that i ordered wont get here for another two weeks. Once its all mounted ill post up some new pics.

Traction!!!!
All I can say is GRIP, the traction with these new tires in the wet feels better than the factory tires in the dry. I would imagine the fact that they are 215 wide instead of 195 helps alot but i am impressed thus far. A few things I noticed, the hum from the tires at speed is a bit higher, noticeable when its quiet outside, and no stereo on, but not too bad. I get alot more feedback from the wheels now then before which im assuming is a function of the smaller sidewalls. I also noticed that the steering wheel feels a bit lighter almost easier to turn. We get some pretty strong rain storms here without warning sometimes, so I was concerned about wet traction. Let me say that my concerns are laid to rest. So anyone considering these should note that i am still at factory 2.2 power output. Once the 75 shot goes on I may be singing a diff tune. So we shall see.

As for the rims they worked out well, the rims are 14.6 pounds and the whole combo with air in tires came to 37.5 lbs Not bad 2.5 pounds more than factory 15inch steelies. I sanded the edge of the rim as you can see in the pics to get rid of the yellow stripe. Then polished the edge. After I had the tires mounted I washed the rims then. Used cleaner polish, then glaze, then synthetic wax, then carnuba. Front and back each rim it took a long while but they look good. Im pleased with how they worked out, next is new springs and struts.

gotta start somewhere, just got control arms in the mail, those will be going on soon, then springs and struts. Then Nitrous, I looked into turbo and superchargers, but this seems to be the most cost effective for what i am using the car for.
