When PowderCoating goes TERRIBLY WRONG...
The last pic i started to try and sand down the paint and start over, the holes are ******* bubbles that go all the way down to the bare aluminum...
I guess you get what you paid for, Guy my brother works with said he can do it no problem, hes been powdering for that company for like 15 years... and thats how they turn out...??? **** man them 18's are wasted now

as omega said, turned out that way because the original clear coat was not removed. Get your rims blasted clean and get him to do it again, will probably look great then. He should do it for free the second time around.

Well, with the recent gorgeous weather finally reaching the north east, hah, i decided to take out the disasterous wheels and start working on them again... I've got them done to this...
Note: this isnt the finished product, i sanded each one for about 30 minutes a piece, and primered them with black filler primer acouple times... and i put the center caps on there for the heck of it, cuz i had extras lol...
I'm thinking i'll prolly let them sit for another week or so then if i have some nice weather next week i'll go through and sand them down again and primer them again to makesure i get a smooth finish when i goto paint them..

hah, well supposably what happened is this... he sent them through the oven and the paint didnt bubble up, so he just powdered over it, then sent it through and then the paint bubbled up under the powder... i'm guessing he didnt really send them through the first time or something...
They were stock gunmetal wheels, the paint was chipping so i stripped them down to the primer and thats what i guess bubbled up idk.. hah ... i dont really care nemore tho, i'm fixing them

Looking promising now. Glad to see there's hope for them. Thought about powdercoating or painting my stock ones as they'll be demoted to strictly winter use next spring...but I'm not sure how to keep them clean, lol.
