will 16" wheels work on the ss/sc?

I am looking to get some winter rims and tires what can actully work in the snow. Will 16" rims fit in the cobalt ss/sc?

The best answer is it depends. I have 16s and they fit easily, I know others who have 16s and it's a matter of 1/8" or less of clearance. Buy from TireRack, they have steelies for like $45/each and they're guaranteed to fit. Personally, I'm using Pontiac G6 wheels on mine.

yeah, the GM steels fit, but not all do.

basically, i think 16 inch steels fit and 16 alloys do not usually. but that's a BIG generalization. you can grab 16s from a G6, malibu, impala, etc for cheap if you know where to look.

I actually have alloys and they fit better than other people I've seen with steels. It all comes down to the wheel itself and what the offset is I believe.

i'm speaking in generalizations. i wanted some cheapies to throw some sticky rubber on... a LOT of sixteens wouldn't fit.
