Would a 9" wheel be too much for 235s?

Would a 9" wheel be too much for 235s?

I have a chance to buy a set of 18x9 rims, my idea is to put 255/35s but I'm afraid I will have to risk of dealing with rubbing issues with the sportlines, so I was thinking that 235/40s would be better. Maybe I should look into a 18x8 rim? I'm not really a fan of stretched tires.

I have 235-40-18's with 8"rims and they are perfect so 9" rims will be fine. So you'll be good.
