I've got a vented design in mind. We'd like to try to keep the "North American" feel to this car if we can, which is why we'd prefer to stay away from the EVO style. Once I play around with it a bit I'll post to get some feedback. Please give me a few days for this though.

have an example of what you had in mind? We will not do an EVO style though for the Cobalt... we just don't picture that looking too great on a Cobalt.
Yes, but with the venting right above the S/C it could help with cooling as well. Someone should attemp a photoshop as from the last thread there seems to be a few people intrested in the evo style hood.

I just wanted to mention, since there seems to be some questions regarding this...

Our hoods will NOT cloud, fade, or turn yellow like most other manufacture's. The reason for this is because we use a special proprietary clear coat mix, which is made using high quality PPG clear coat! That's right, we clear coat all of our products! It is not just a cheap clear gel coat finish like so many others. Because of our clear coat finish, our products have a high gloss showroom quality finish that can be waxed just the same as the factory clear coat on your car!

maybe you can provide us a non-clear coat version? I for one would sand it off anyways for paint.

Also, whats the weight differences between your hood/trunk vs. stock ?

Sorry we do not offer that. All of our products undergo the same process when manufacturing them.

To be honest, I am not 100% sure on what the OEM parts weight. Our hood weights approx. 15lbs, while the trunk is around 10lbs.

will your hood take the stock hood blanket?
Also when will you have a air scoop or other design ready, really want a unique air extractor or intake hood other than the SS camaro copies out there...

have pics of the underside?

buying the hood right now.... does it still use the hood struts? what do you do with the old key hole and 3rd brake light? just disconnect and hide wires? also what happens if your battery is disconnected and your trunk shuts are you s.o.l.?

In regards to the hood (and trunk for that matter), both use all stock mounting points and accommodate the stock props/struts.

Yes, disconnect and hide those wires.

Isn't there a manual trunk release? I've honestly never had someone ask that before, and I haven't heard of it happening.

the manual trunk release was the key..... the only other one is the electric popper in the dash, its a solonoid so it needs electricity

Don't unhook your battery if you need to access the trunk then

As I said, in all honesty we have never heard of anyone having a problem with this and MANY of our products have the key hole shaved. Don't your rear seats fold down to allow excess to the trunk?

At the moment it is $570 shipped when you use the coupon code cobaltSS to recieve 10% off. If you wish to place an order please do so through our website, www.xceleratedconcepts.ca.

Please note, I am working on the website myself during my free time (with no prior experience in MySQL/php), so it is taking longer then expected to complete.
