Unboxing: ZZP 14.5" Brembo Big Brake Kit!
Ended up getting a killer deal on these on black friday thanks to ZZP.
Couldn't find any other info/pics on the web besides the crappy pics they had on their website so I figured I'd take some and post up.
Initial thoughts: Awesome stuff! Everythings bigger and better than I expected, and the brackets & hardware they supplied appear to be top notch. I won't be installing these until spring, so I won't have anything else besides pictures and initial review until then, but I've overly excited to see how these do.
Enough talking though, and onto the PICS!
Everything got here fine, but just barely, none of the tape on the bottom of the box made it, and I didn't even have to cut anything to open it. Luckily my UPS guy is pretty nice and into cars and jeeps (like I) so he does his best to take care of me.
No big deal though, everything inside is ok
Onto the ginormous rotors
The mounting brackets, pads, lines and hardware

All in all looks awesome
Have a few questions, the rotors I assume are off the rear of a vette/camaro as they say 'rear pass' and 'rear driver' on them, and they have the cutout for the emergency brake pads in the center. I assume these go on the same side just the front correct? I know the slots have to go a certain direction but and getting conflicting info upon googling so I just wanted to make sure.
And I've bled many brakes before, but nothing with more than one bleeder on each caliper. The directions say to gravity bleed both sides at first to make the process go quicker and then bleed as usual. Do I do each side one bleeder at a time? If so, outside first then inside, or other way around?
And I planned on getting speedbleeders for these, anyone able to tell me what size I would need?

When I bled mine I didn't have any fluid in them to start, I just bleed the outside then inside and did that twice for each side. Kind of curious how those will fit in your wheels, I'd assume they fit but they only confirmed it on the SS/TC wheels. Would think they'd fit on my PF01's and I'd just have to sell my IRL wheels if I ever made the switch.

Well I just got the wheels/tires in this week as well, 18" enkei m52's. I confirmed with tire rack that they'd clear lnf brembo's, and I measured my buddies lnf wheels and compared them, I don't see why they wouldn't

They're about the same from what I can tell. I got them in already mounted from tirerack, wrapped in bfg g-force sport comp2's, and ups had them weighed in at 50#/x

I was looking it up and someone had actually weighed them, don't want to go dig it up though, too late as it is. I know their lighter than most aftermarket wheels that are around 22 lbs.
It's really not the brakes that will make it stop faster it's the tires, even the base calipers have enough clamping power to lock up bigger stickier tires. What it comes down to is the difference in fade resistance that the bigger brakes have.

Confirmed 20-20.5Lbs stock SS/TC rims with no rubber on. Weighed them on mah homescale and than found this thread to verify my scale ain't off. Wangspeed FTW. 1 question though some dude in that thread says our brakes are 2 piston rear? Is this true? I always thought it was 1 rear for some reason.

^ Pretty sure the rear calipers, at least for the TC are 2 piston.
And if that's true, maybe I'll just end up painting my LNF wheels then and hunting down some cheap winters.

Just a quick update, I was replacing wheel bearings today and figured I'd do a dry run and make sure everythings good. I can confirm 100% that enkei m52's (18x8) fit fine with the ZZP 14.5" BBK.
Yes I know the car needs washed badly, and I of course didn't put pads or brake lines on (waiting till spring) yet, but I did tighten everything down as if everything else was actually being put on. There's a good 3/4" or so clearance between the face (where it says 'chevy' and 'brembo') of the calipers and the back of the spokes, and there's about 3/8" of an inch between the outside of the caliper and the barrel (or inside) of the wheels.
Shouldn't be a problem, now I just gotta wait till spring to try them out!
