2012 Volt
Sooooo one morning after work I test drove one out of boredom at the chevy test track. SIMPLY AMAZING. Everything about it is awesome from the seat to driving experience. HOWEVER, price tag was 46k and some change. The features, dash, leg room, how quiet it is driving annnnd speed bumps you dont feel them at all. I'd buy it and trade in the balt if the price was right. That being said I've driven a prius before even the new one. Volt wins by like 3 touchdowns and 2 field goals lol. In all specifications

My father was in the market for something new a few months back, and as odd as it sound, it came between a 2011 Chevy Volt, and a 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500. The Volt was considered because he normally drives 2 miles a day, at most, but would have the safety of knowing he could take a road trip. In the end, he got the Silverado because of back problems that make lowering himself into a car much harder than lifting himself into a truck.

Chevy Volt rules. Yeah!
Personally, I love Chevy Volt because it rides, drives, handles, etc. like a normal car. In fact, it feels almost like a luxury car to me. There is nothing odd, cheap, stripped or eco feeling about it. But recently, I was quite alarmed of the news that I read from here Chevy Volt demo cars to go on sale to meet demand. Chevrolet is planning to get more consumers into its plug-in hybrid, the Chevy Volt, and has authorized dealers to sell the demonstration vehicle Volts if need be. Sales have not been terrible, but far short of where Chevrolet wants them to be. One grievance among consumers has been that they could not get the Volt with the options they want. Oh! This is really for real.

I think the volt is worth it 100%. It's a very expensive car to build. Over the course of the typical loan length for one, you would save way more than what the car is equipped with comparatively. I think the car is every bit as nice as the current Cadillac CTS in terms of quality and ride.

I'll wait to see what the diesel cruze gets in terms of MPG when it arrives here in the US. It's not necessarily that GM is behind VW, it's that GMs customer base is usually reluctant to buy diesel cars, for some reason most American's don't seem to either trust or understand diesel fuel.
