As you just said you are on COBALTSS.net. Once you own and drive a cruze and are part of the cruze forums then you can complain about how its to slow for you and there is no coup and no performance parts and no this and no that, then complain all you want.

How's the get up and go? I don't know if you have ridin' or driven a Passat GL, but it's a 1.8L turbo and I'm trying to convince my fiance to get one, but she's considering another Passat

i took the cruze out for a test drive...i thought my cobalt was noisy

nothing compared to cruze, you can hear the tires roll over a dime, excessive road noise can be heard, also the engine very noisy

Why do I have to own a Cruze to complain about it? I want to like this car, and for the most part I do... I just have high hopes that GM will build a coupe and a performance variant as well.

if they don't, its going to be one giant fail.
If us car guys ran GM, they'll be out of business.

Your everyday driver who wants to get from point a to b don't care about performance like that.

Only thing I like better about the Cruze is the interior. Puts the Balts to shame.

i agree with this. except there is a tuner market and performance market so having a model of low production for them isnt a bad idea. Ford I think got the picture...they just released a Rally kit for the fiesta so everyday people can rally race their fiestas fairly cheap and I think it has some warranty with it.

truth...

but GM could have at least spent some more money in the marketing department for the ss/tc..

I found out about the ss/tc, when my gf went to buy her cobalt.. I was sitting in the showroom.. was bored picked up a brochure and I was like wtf? 260/260? LSD? Brembo?

Where the hell did this car come from, yes I have always been following car news.. but when ever I heard of the word cobalt I just pass on the article... thinking it would be like the ss/sc "no offence"

At least they are marketing the cruze, commericals, billboards.. tv shows etc..etc..

Why spend marketing dollars on such a low yield vehicle. it's all about margins.

They lose money on every SS/TC they sell that the way it is with most domestic performance models. There just tools to get you into the dealership to buy that base model cobalt or V6 camaro.

This. Ever notice every ad in the newspaper/TV will say Cobalt LT but have a picture of an SS, sometimes saying "SS model shown" or whatever.

That's slow..
I've test driven one. My 2.2 def feels more strong- what am I saying it is lol. It's a nice car I'll give you that- but engine is weaker than mine. It just didn't feel as snappy.
