Big Job To Remove Wing?

hey there i have a ss wing and im realy startin to like the no wing ss's i see on here. My car is a red ss/sc I just got some 18's for it and some nice falken tires. Is it a big job to take the wing off? do i have to paint the whole truck to hide the holes? what has to be done any idea?

it's simple....just remove the bolts and you have to kinda pry it off cause there is this sticky residue that has to be removed...it's kinda like the stuff thats behind the badges. Use a heat gun and you'll be fine.

you gotta cover the holes and repaint the sanded covering material...

i'm sure you can blend it and tape off a certain area around the holes, but i'm no body man and it probably would look best with the whole trunk repainted. I'm looking to do this eventually, i already attempted to remove the wing earlier last year, but it was much tougher than i thought.

^^ya it's a pain in the ass to take it off...when i took the car to the shop to get the front bumper painted they took the wing to color match. I was watching the guy take off the wing w/ a flat head and a rag....i kept thinking....I'm going to get a new wing or carbon fiber deck if he keeps bending it like that

The 4 bolts are the easiest part. Then you gotta work that super sticky tape which will take a while and will require plenty of effort. Then you have to fill and paint the holes.. so yeah its a ton of work.

well if you do remove it I recomend welding the holes shut then body working them, I wold repaint the entire trunck lid to so you are shure not to get blend lines and tape lines.
