Aftermarket mod parts

Going to be trading in on a cobalt ss/tc...don't really know much about them. What are some good aftermarket companies for the cobalt? The HHR SS has the same engine, right? Would the parts be the same? Have any companies/shops gotten their test cars/released information?

Thanks

There isn't many aftermarket companies out for the SS/TC, b/c it hasn't been released to the public for sale yet. But there is companies that support the Saturn Sky Redline & the Pontiac Solstice GXP.

Will things like body kits, wheel lug patterns, electronics, lighting, suspension, etc be the same as the previous cobalt SS? I know companies are usually pretty quick to supply aftermarket parts for cars like these, but it'd be nice to know if anything would be immediately available or available soon after it hits the floor. The SRT4's were pretty quick, and these will be faster than the SRT4 was stock, I'm wondering if it will take to mods just as well as the SRT4 neon did

One good rule would be dont pay 200+ for a Intake and make one out of PVC instead for $20 dollers

Don't touch the intake or anything like that.

Do a 3" exhaust and wait for HPT to unlock the car.

Trust me, it'll save you a ton of money and give you more power than you'll want out of your car.

It'll have stock performance until the PCM is unlocked because it will notice a increase in power due to the new exhaust and cut boost levels to take it back down to stock

The hhr ss does have the same engine but things must likey sit different in the engine bay. The Cobalt is using the same engine as the Sky Redline and Solstice GXP but they are a rwd setup.

body kits, wheel lug pattern and all that should be the same but the 08 cobalt ss suspension is better than the previous years so that is one mod i would try to match the previous year to the 08.

from what i understand the ecotecs' have tons of potential
