windshield wiper speeds

has anyone notice that when you have the first speed going on the windshield wipers, they increase as you increase the speed of your car.. i notice that when your going slow the speed of them will stay slow but as you get up around 55 or 60 they become much quicker.. i thought this was intersting.

It must be a new feature, kinda like how the radio gets louder the faster you go. That kind of thing

I kinda like it but there have been times I didn't need them to increase. As in I was fine with no wipers when I was stopped, but on the road I just needed the very very lowest speed, but with the speed sensitive increase then the wipers would be too fast so I had to shut them off and use the mist setting every few seconds.

I have an 06 and it has 5 settings.
Click 1. Off
Click 2. Delay
Click 3. Speed one
Click 4. Fast
Click 5. Faster

(at least thats what I think from memory, I'll double check later)

the speed of the wipers will increase with the speed of the car no matter what setting you have the wipers on.

if i'm installing a accessory wire to my windshield wiper fuse should that affect anything with the speed of the wipers? or does that 12volt power fuse just go directly to the wiper module and the wiper module determines the speed from there...
