Brake caliper paint

so im going to be installing my rims over spring break, and im painting my brake calipers yellow. i got the G2 paint kit and was wondering if i can add an extra clear coat to the calipers once they are painted?

Do it cause I have heard of peoples chipping so a coat of clear will deff help with that.

I would think that several light coats would work better than laying thick coats on........that's how you get dripping.

Yeah isn't it the thick coats that chip as well? I plan on doing this in the coming month and am going to use aerosol with lots and lots of thin coats.

Do a lot of thin coats and let them dry completely in between.

Your going to get some chips eventually, but you can defintely minimize the amount with a quality job. Good luck and post pics when your done.
