If you would like the best and most comprehensive manual then the one available from GM http://www.crateenginedepot.com/stor...S-P1807C6.aspx is the best. If your just looking for something cheap and generic service manual the http://www.haynes.com/products/searc.../productID/515 is what you may be looking for.

No such thing

BEST: Factory Service manual: Most comprehensive, three volumes (engine volume alone is 2.25" thick), covers one model year, everything from how-to-diagnose to rebuilding transmissions. ~$150

LOWEST COST: Chiltons, Haynes, etc: One small book (<1" thick), covers several model years, basic how-tos. ~$15-$30.

Haynes is decent for the home mechanic.. A factory service manual like mentioned above covers EVERYTHING you can think of. Haynes covers most **** though, and is a lot cheaper.

i got my new haynes manual for like 15 shipped on ebay. has tons of stuff. there's certain things that it doesn't cover, but they're all things that i most likely wouldn't attempt by myself anyways.

I've got a Chilton. Its basically like the Haynes. Which ever one you can get cheapest, go for it.

there is always alldata.com. we use it at work, we have the professional were you can look up unlimited cars. however, they have whats walled alldata diy (www.alldatadiy.com) wich allows you to buy and look up for one vehicle, and you can use it as many times as you want for 1 year. its $25 for the first year, $15/year after that. the nice thing about this is you get the same info shops use, and you get up to date gm service bullitins on your car.
