Approx # of Hours to install GMPP Dual Pass with Option B
I am having my mechanic install it at his shop, he is a great mechanic..works for GM but has a shop on the side for weekend jobs...wanted to know approx how many # of hours to install this GMPP Dual Pass endplate with option B surge tank.
I have the endplate and the Option B kit that I bought through Crate Engine Depot. I wanted to hear from the guys that have done it or payed to have it done # of hours.
Thanks

hmm well basically there was nothing on this site when I did it and from what was hter was vague. So I had to figure it out and it took me myself 6 hours to do . The hoses would not come off and I did not know that there was two bolts on teh bottom of the intercooler manifold that holds it on that is a royal pan to get out . Finally the 1/4'' tube that threads into the top of the inter cooler that you have to take the grill apart to get at. If you let the tech know all about those things and he has the right tools then he should be able to get the job done in about 4-5 hours. Figuring out which way to run lines was fun too. Once you get it though it works very well. Pretty cool to see the coolant being pumped back into the extra tank
ya i will let him know about the 2 bolts at the bottom, as well, I heard that taking the intercooler pump off makes it easier to get at those bolts, also is it neccisary to take the grill assembly off to get at the stock heat exchanger??
I was going to have him install my CA Heat exchanger at the same time
