catilytic converter problems

so i've had my car for about 2 months now and i had to replace the cat after putting 1,000 miles on it. today (2,000 miles later) i noticed a rattling sound and i find out that i have to replace the cat again. also i found out that the owner before me had to have exhaust work done last july but im not really sure what was done. it seems like for some reason the stock cats on the ss/sc like to fall apart easily. im not that bummed out because its still under warranty but its just a big inconvenience. Has anyone had problems similiar to me?

Did you break it in? I think you have to break a cat in for like 500 miles before you can get on it and not blow it out....
