I am looking at a used LSJ on ebay from a salvage yard. It is complete with computer and tranny. How could I find out if it is a G85? I dont think I'll even bother asking the seller as he is just a junk yard and sells a butt-load of engines.

 

post the vin and ask nice, someone will run it for yah on thier gm database at work.

ask the seller to look at the sticker on the left side trunk floor under the mat, right in front of the subwoofer.

or just ask him.

 

if it's g85 it should have recaros i think and just do a burn out and see if both tires spin

 

not all lsd cars have recaro's........

 

i think he just is talking about the engine and tranny and stuff... i don't think there is the whole car

 

If it's just the tranny and engine, look at the top of the trans. If it says LSD on it, then you have a winner!

 

If it is the one with a starting price of 805.99 it is not, I called the yard the first time it was up for bids like 3 months ago.
