Wheel Hop

Hey guys now that I have the power that I want, ish...I need to get it to the ground. What is the best way to eliminate wheel hop.

If you could, please provide a link to a site with the specific item or items that I need. I am assuming/thinking it would be poly engine mounts, zzp billet trannie mounts, and a ingals/weapon r engine damper.

Let me know if thats all needed and or where is the best site to order from. Thanks for your time guys.

Zach.

PS: Cobalt-Addiction.com is where I am looking at the majority of these parts.

I was wondering if the 2.79inch pulley from them, the one thats made to look like the stage 2 gm pulley, would work with the stock stage 2 setup. Would I need to upgrade my injectors or anything, or change the tune, or would I be fine.

According to the cobalt-addiction website, the 2.79inch pulley would be fine with no adjustments, but I just wanted to be sure.

Thanks again.

hit him up he's lookin to sell the tranny mounts for 100 shipped..im gonna buy the motor mount but the tranny mounts will stop the wheel hop

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/parts-66/fs-bwoody-smm-102175/

as for the 2.79 you would need new injectors cause your idc would be well over 120% and you would need a tune for that too running that on the stage 2 tune you'll be knockin like a ****

According to the cobalt-addiction website, the 2.79inch pulley would be fine with no adjustments, but I just wanted to be sure.

as for that..it really depends on alot of things climate is one of them

I am sorry, I am a little confused by your post. You said the 2.79inch pulley would need new injectors because the injectors would be well over maxed, i understand that and that I would need a tune.

However, you then state that the 2.79inch pulley from cobalt-addiction would be fine with no adjustments...which is it?

I live in iowa so the winters are cold and the summers are kinda hot at times.

As for the wheel hop, is the only thing needed honestly the tranny mounts? Because whatever I buy, i want to 100% eliminate my wheel hop completely.

Thanks.

i'm in cali i really couldnt run that 2.79 cause it would lean out the car to much and my injectors would go static cause anything over 110 or 120% they go static the lowest i would go and feel pretty safe would be a 2.85....and the tranny mounts took my wheel hop away...cheap and good mod for the wheel hop

and here are the best pulleys http://www.smoothflowpulleys.com/

Sweet man. What cold air intake do you recommend, I am thinking of going with the INJEN cai. I am looking for the most hp/tq gain possible, I dont care about the sound. Even with a cai i wont hear my s/c whine over my exhaust lol.

I have Ingall's and BWoody Front Solid Transmission Mount. Feels WAAAAY more sure of itself taking off fast. Haven't really gotten to do a good launch because its raining out, but from what i feel so far, it gives the driver way more confidence with 1st gear.

My review as of yesterday:

Get the solid engine mount from Turbo Tech, don't get the dampener, it doesn't do much. They also have tranny mount inserts as well.

Plus TTR is the best vendor on this site.

Motor mount: http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=4933

Tranny inserts: http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=4937

I think they have a group buy going over there right now.

You should PM Aaron @ TTR. If you order multiple items he can usually get you a deal. His name is just TurboTechRacing I believe.

Here it is: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/supporting-vendor-deals-group-purchases-133/injen-intake-gp-103063/

hey thanks for the link, looks like i am going to grab the poly trans bushings for 49.99 and the solid upper engine mount and a cai. This should help with the wheel hop. Does anyone think I need an engine damper at all?

if you're getting the solid motor mount then you don't need nor will the damper fit.

not to steal your thread but does anyone else use the traction bars from bwoody? they're like $175 and i haven't really heard anything or anybody recommend them.
