I had the CPS mess up on my car, sending it into limp mode and the other normal crap it does. When it cranked back up I drove to Advance Auto and had them try to read the code, but the OBDII wouldn't receive power from the port. I have had the CPS fixed since then and no problems, but I was just wondering if the sensor being bad and the car being in limp mode would made the port not work or if there is another problem. The dealership didn't say anything about it and I don't have an OBDII to check it now. Just curious. Thanks in advance!

 

The port probably worked when you car was at the dealership, as they pretty much live and die by those readings. I'd take it back and have them check it.

 

check the fuse under the hood....usually pulling it out and reinserting it works.

check the fuse for the cig. lighter....probably blown. The DLC por (OBD) and lighter share the same circuit...
