pearl paint/ tailight question

Well, im curious to see what you guys think would be a good pearl to go on a silver balt? its so much easier on black cars or white cars but i cant really lean to wut would be good. ultimately id like to paint my entire balt in a darker metallic grey, but if i could figure a decent pearl to use id change that idea. also wut have some of u used to cover the reverse lights when night shading the tails? it looked and was soo much easier on my cavy because it was only a half circle. oh and when clearing them afterward, did u clear the entire light or leave on the cover on the reverse section and clear over that?

as far as the tail lights go. just take them off and nite shades the entire thing. then use a high grit sand paper between coats and give it a few till you like the tint on them. then clear it and also sand that so its shiny and beautiful as for as the pearl. i have no idea.

start with 800 to scuff it uo and have something to stick
then 1000 to smooth it out
then 2000 for the clear and finishing up
Just tape off the reverse and use a sharp gentle hand to remove the tape and clear the whole thing
Try tapeing off the sides and painting them white to color match and only tint the front

As soon as I get some pics of my bros G6 that I did, you will see how i did the reverse clear and the rest tinted

wow, he's not painting a car, he's shading his tails.

i used 400 wet sand paper to scuff it up, and sand in between every 2 coats. its very thin, so i did every other coat. u don't need to go any higher than that. i didn't clear coat them bc i didn't know if i'd get pulled over for them. but now that u mention it, i'm going to clear coat them right now.

two separate questions basically. the first is wut type of pearl coat looks good on silver cars. and the other being tips on shading the tails

It makes all the difference in the look, trust me. Mine look they came from the factory like that. Plus its less likely to peel later
