ready to throw in the towel
ready to throw in the towel
i have been patiently waiting for the SS TC to get to the dealers since my SC got totaled last Oct. but I'm about ready to go by a Honda. Between the strike at Am. axle, dealers that either dont know **** or dont care to know **** ,I'm ready to give up on this car. I really thought GM would have learned a lesson from the shitty effort they put forth in the past selling the SS SC but they are ******* this one up the same way. I felt good about supporting an American company and workers when I bought my 06 SC but I really dont think they give a **** about us, the customers !

THEY JUST STARTED PRODUCTION 2 WEEKS AGO!!!
Stop being impatient, if you didn't put an order in for one and your dealer didn't order one they probably won't get one for a long while. All the first production run cars are spoken for, if you or the dealer ordered one they can check the est. build and delivery date if they want.

Join the club dude, but special order cars take a while to be built. And like said before they have been in production for two weeks, and it usually takes more then two weeks to get a car shipped. This is a limited run production so it is not like they are making a 1000 turbos every day, they are making roughly 100 turbos a day. Go and buy a honda and in the next 4 weeks when you see the ss/tc and drive past you will wish you would have waited.Ohhh and the American axle strike WILL NOT affect the production of the cobalt or any GM car for that matter except the Lucerne and the DTS, so nothing to worry about there!!
My ss/sc was totaled in february. I know how you feel. I went back to the same dealer that I bought my car from before and told them what happened. Ihey odreded the car for me. I also just found out that my cobalt is the only one they are getting for the moment. Talk to dealers, someone will have sympathy for you, mine did.
haha going to honda huh? YOu wanna talk about bad service? I'll get my buddy on here who has a 06 si, and ill let ya hear what bad service is.. Not to mention all the recalls (like third gear popping out, and it taking them like over a year to finally put out a recall)
and we honda do you plan on getting??
Lol cause the Si can't keep up.
Its more expensive, Its slower, and gets the same mileage as we do.
Some people will say oh but honda's are more re-liable
Which is usually true, until you say 100,000 mile warranty.
What do honda's have?? 36k?? 60k?

i think the reason dealers dont have a clue about the ss/tc is becasue they are lucky if the ycan get 2 of them. why learn about a car that is gonna sell to ta person like who walks in and knows what he wants. if a clueless dope strolls in looking at the malibu just cause they seen a commercial that salesman is gonna jerk him around because he doesn't know the pricing or options. they dont wanna sell a knowledgable person a car because they cant make as much money off a person thats prepared w/ info. as for waiting its something most people do. this is not the type of car sitting on a lot in every color available, it is a special order, limited production vehicle that is not waiting in the showroom for you.
